Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT ARE YOUR BUSINESS HOURS?
We have a variety of hours and they may change seasonally, so be sure to visit our hours page for the most up-to-date hours. If we are not open for a booked play session, check our events calendar, we may have something else happening! Be sure to register for events in advance. If you are a therapist or you need the gym for a special reason, please call - we have set aside the 9:00 - 10:30 am session for special requests. If you have a special occasion or want to hold a meeting, please call - we will sometimes have evenings after 6 pm available.
HOW MUCH DO I PAY TO PLAY?
We charge $12 per child, beginning at 6 months of age. Children under 6 months are free WITH a paid sibling. Adults are always free! Each play pass includes 90 minutes of play time. We have plenty for even very young babies to do, even if they’re not yet crawling!
I HAVE MULTIPLE CHILDREN, DO I HAVE TO PAY THE SAME RATE FOR ALL OF THEM?
Each child is $12. BUT, we have discounted rates if you purchase a package of passes. If you buy a 5 Play Pass Package for $55, the price per pass drops to $11 per kid. With a 10 Play Pass Package, the price per pass drops to $10 per kid. Remember, adults are always FREE!
DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?
Yes! We appreciate the sacrifices that Military and First Responder families make and offer a 20% discount for each play pass with valid ID.
I LIKE THE IDEA OF THE PARENTS LOUNGE, BUT WHAT IF I WANT TO USE THE PLAY AREA WITH MY CHILD?
That's great! We encourage parents to play with their child as much as they like, and have full (socks-only) access to the play area. We even have seating right alongside our individual play areas for parents whose children prefer they stay close. If your child is more independent, enjoy our parents lounge or our library where you'll still enjoy full view of the play area!
AT WHAT AGE DO YOU START CHARGING CHILDREN TO PLAY?
Our rule is if your child is playing, we ask you to pay for them to do so. Children under 6 months are free with a paid sibling - otherwise we begin charging at 6 months. If your baby remains in their seat or carrier, there is no charge. We do charge for all children in the gym because we have a section for teenagers and we offer wi-fi. And honestly, everyone wants to try the traverse wall or sit in the hammock swings.
I HAVE A CHILD THAT DOESN'T HAVE ADDITIONAL NEEDS. CAN THEY COME TOO?
Of course! The play equipment in our gym is fun and beneficial for all ages and types of kids (and for parents too).
I HAVE AN INFANT, DO WE PAY TO PLAY AS WELL?
If your infant will be using our play area (our crawler area recommended age is 6 months and up, but will have some toys for the younger babies to use as well!) we'll ask you to purchase a play pass for them. If they are tagging along while big brother or sister plays and the infant won't be playing, they can hang with their caregiver for free. We welcome and encourage baby-wearing here!
WILL KIDS OR PARENTS HAVE TO TAKE OFF THEIR SHOES?
Yes. Outside of our play area we have convenient cubbies for shoes, coats and backpacks. Our play area is strictly SOCKS ONLY. No shoes, no bare feet! If you forget your socks, don't worry! We have socks to purchase and keep for adults and children. We allow car seats and baby carriers in the play area but do NOT permit strollers. Feel free to leave strollers in the café by the coat racks and cubbies. For our friends with different abilities who require the use of a stroller or wheeled device,we will clean your wheels before entering the play area. If your child has additional needs and is uncomfortable removing their shoes, we have shoe covers available for purchase. GRIPPY SOCKS WORK BEST ON OUR FLOORS!
CAN WE BRING IN OUR OWN SNACKS OR FOOD?
Yes, during Covid, you can bring water or baby bottles.
We have wholesome snacks and delicious, locally made, baked goods available and we do ask that all beverages (other than water and bottles) consumed at our facility are purchased in our café. We do have a bottle warmer if needed. Just ask! We are NOT a nut-free facility, but we are allergy-aware and ask that you not bring any food containing nuts into the gym. You may NOT bring in a birthday cake or cupcakes during your booked play hours, unless you have arranged ahead with us. During reserved parties, we do allow you to bring your own food and drinks or order from our menu.
HOW LONG DO WE GET TO PLAY?
Your booked play time is 90 minutes.
WHAT IF I ARRIVE EARLY?
If you arrive early for your booked play time, please wait outside or in your car until your play time. We are usually cleaning for the full 30 minutes between sessions. Here's an easy way to tell from your car if you can enter earlier than planned - if the door shade is up, come on in. If the door shade is down, we are still cleaning.
WHAT IF WE ARE RUNNING LATE TO OUR BOOKED PLAY SESSION?
You have a specific 90 minute time-frame reserved for you and your family. If you're running late, you are still welcome to come and play, but your session will still end at the reserved time.
WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?
We hope you don't have to cancel, but life happens. If you cancel 24 hours or more in advance, we can move your booking and payment to another day. Between 8 and 23 hours, we can refund HALF of your payment. If you cancel with only 8 or less hours notice, we will not refund your payment. PLEASE CALL ANY TIME YOU HAVE TO CANCEL, even if just 15 minutes before, because we often have a waiting list.
MY CHILD HAS ALLERGIES AND/OR FOOD SENSITIVITIES. WHAT WILL YOU HAVE FOR US?
We are working with local vendors to provide as many options as possible, including for those with allergies. In order to ensure we can accommodate you, please call at least 24 hours prior to your visit and we'll do our best to make it happen! We will pay attention to frequently requested items, and have them more readily available if needed.
I'M BREASTFEEDING, WILL YOU HAVE ACCOMMODATIONS FOR ME?
We encourage you to feed your child wherever and however you feel comfortable, but please ask if you would like more privacy.
CAN I USE MY FRIENDS MEMBERSHIP CARD, OR GIVE MINE TO A FRIEND TO USE?
No. Memberships MUST be used within an immediate family ONLY. You may not allow other families to use your passes at any time, even if they are visiting with you. They will need to fill out their own agreement and purchase whichever pass they like.
DO YOU ACCEPT CASH & CARDS?
Yes, we accept cash and all major cards including American Express. We do not accept personal checks and we are NOT able to accept bills over $20 at any time.
CAN I HAVE MY CHILD'S BIRTHDAY PARTY DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS AT THE CAFE WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE BOOKING PROCESS?
No. All of our parties are private and must be booked through the party booking page. All other parties are private. We do not allow birthday "play-dates" where guests bring in gifts, and we draw a strict line at bringing in any outside catering, decorations, or re-arranging tables in the cafe to accommodate your "party" without pre-arrangement. If you are bringing your child on their birthday, please instead consider our affordable "My Special Day" option for making your child still feel like the star of the day! We can display a personalized birthday message, and even have a balloon and a treat waiting for them! Learn more and reserve your child's birth-date here!
DOES YOUR FACILITY ENFORCE A PLAY-AREA CAPACITY?
During Covid, we only allow up to 6 same-family guests per 90-minute session
Yes! We make sure the play area is as comfortable as possible at all times. Our play-area has a capacity of approximately 69 people and we will accommodate 20 kids, depending on the ages. We ask ourselves “Will adding one more child detract from the experience of all guests?” before going over that number. If we are on a wait, we will allow families to wait in the cafe-area until a family leaves. Please ask for coloring books or other activities to use if you have to wait!
CAN YOU PAY FOR CLASSES OR EVENTS AT THE DOOR?
All play dates, classes and events require online registration. Please see our events page for more details and registration information. This helps us plan ahead and make sure our events do not get too crowded!
